The laboratory building has been fitted with a differentiated, multi-component solar shading system. Large wave-shaped louvres are installed in front of the outer skin, giving the building its charac- teristic appearance. In the south-east to south-west laboratory area, RETROLuxTherm micro louvres have been installed in the external cavity of the triple insulating glazing. The excellent internal visibility of the systems allows the louvre blades to be fixed in position. Motorised RETROLux 50mm louvres are installed in other predominantly office areas.

Some of the panels with integrated light control are 3.20m high and 2.40m wide. Two parallel inlets have been installed in each panel, connected by a central joint profile. The joint profile forms a vertical line approximately 25 mm wide. The slat support profiles are only 9 mm wide..
