Mail Distribution Center, Wadenswil
The mail distribution center in Wadenswil, CH, (Architects HZDS, Heinz Zimmermann, Zurich), in 2006 was the first building with a non-ventilated, double-skin facade. The RETROLux A blinds are installed between an outer glazing and an inner insulation glass and functions as a optical energy management system. Heat absorbers are integrated in the upper part of the facade. The heat is stored in a rock underneath the building as heat source for winter.
